What is a stock brokerage firm?
A stock brokerage firm is a legal entity authorized by the Bolsa Nacional de Valores, S.A. (Costa Rica’s National Stock Exchange) in accordance with the requisites established by the Stock Market Regulation Law, No. 7732, published in the official Gazette No. 18 of January 27, 1998, so that it can perform the activities authorized in this Law. It is essential that the operations carried out in the stock exchange be proposed, perfected, and implemented by a stock brokerage firm.
